About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 2 for RFP-2025-1312 issued by the City of Casselberry Procurement Division for the Demolition of the Old Police Department. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to bidder questions regarding the demolition project. The solicitation response is due on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, before 10:00 a.m. Key demolition requirements include removing flagpole footers, slab, and wall, encapsulating air condition freon, removing lightning rod and communication system antennas, and leaving certain elements in place such as the foundation, air condition and fuel tank slabs, and parking lot light poles.

The addendum introduces a significant change regarding the tank on the property. Previously not included in the demolition, the tank will now be part of the project after failing its integrity test. The Department of Environmental Protection's Limited Closure Report indicates the tank's interstitial space is compromised and recommends replacement. The Bid Price Schedule has been updated to include a line item for tank demolition and disposal. The demolition will be a wet demolition method, with water provided via fire hydrant, and requires minimal damage to the existing asphalt parking area. The contractor will be responsible for utility disconnection and proper management of hazardous materials.
