About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Office of Prevention Services. The RFP seeks proposals from community organizations, faith-based groups, non-profits, LLCs, and local government entities to develop and implement comprehensive programs focused on preventing juvenile delinquency among youth aged 10 to 17 throughout Florida. The RFP aims to identify innovative and effective solutions to combat juvenile delinquency through evidence-based, promising practices or demonstrated effectiveness that support mentoring services in high delinquency areas and low performing school districts. The addendum updates the Calendar of Events, including revised deadlines for the Intent to Attend Solicitation Conference, Solicitation Conference Questions, and Proposal Submission. Additionally, it updates the Contract Period, which is now expected to begin on July 1, 2025 and end on June 30, 2028, with potential renewal options.
The RFP includes specific evaluation criteria related to Management Capability, including considerations around corporate oversight, support for services, and the proposer's plan to ensure the contract is executed by the July 1, 2025 start date. The addendum provides details on the protest process, including information about the bond or security required to be posted by the protestor. It also clarifies that the estimated contract amount is not subject to protest.
