About this file

This document is a Vendor Questions and Government Response file for a Request for Information (RFI-25-IPTVDigitalSignage) issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The RFI seeks market research for an integrated IPTV and Digital Signage solution with 29+ endpoints across USPTO campuses, including the Alexandria campus and six regional locations. Key requirements include high-definition displays, emergency notification capabilities, and the ability to interface with existing monitors. The solution must support campus-wide streaming of live events, video-on-demand content, endpoint-specific access control, and viewership analytics.

The government responses provide critical technical and operational details, such as current infrastructure (DIRECTV boxes, Bright-sign devices), content goals (in-house events, status messages, lunch menus), and system specifications. The desired solution must be TAA and cybersecurity compliant, preferably with FedRamp approval. Emergency notifications will use the CAP format via the REACH platform, initiated by USPTO Physical Security. The system should be centralized at the Alexandria campus with zoned feed capabilities, and the deployment timeline is no later than June 29, 2025. The USPTO IT team will administer the network, with bi-annual support from the vendor, and expects comprehensive service level agreements and optional pricing for endpoint expansion.
