About this file

This document is Addendum Number 001 for the NCF IPI Homes for Iowa Warehouse project, issued by the State of Iowa Department of Corrections on January 12, 2023. The addendum covers modifications to electrical drawings, specifically addressing light fixture specifications and pre-approved manufacturers for interior and exterior lighting. The project involves two bid packages: General Construction for a 152' Building and Electrical for the same building, with an alternate option for a 200' Warehouse Configuration. Bids are due on January 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM through the IMPACS Electronic Procurement System, with a tentative Notice of Intent (NOI) to be issued January 19th-20th. The project is scheduled for contract issuance on February 2, 2023, with construction from March 31, 2023, to August 23, 2023.

The architect's cost opinion for the base bid is $887,068.00, with the base bid including the alternate option totaling $1,061,701.00. The project requires contractors to comply with specific site rules, including onsite supervision, daily logs, background checks, and work hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Contractors must provide project-specific insurance certificates, performance and payment bonds, and use Procore for project management. The bid requires a 5% bid security, and the apparent low bidder must submit a list of subcontractors and suppliers within 48 hours of the bid opening. Notably, individuals with convictions that would have placed them in an Iowa correctional facility are restricted from working on this project.
