About this file

This is an addendum to a Request for Applications (RFA) issued by the Maryland Department of Health, Behavioral Health Administration, for Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug Prevention Centers at Maryland colleges and universities. The RFA seeks to identify and engage four colleges or universities with established prevention centers to deliver programs and activities that prevent and reduce substance misuse and risk-taking behaviors among college-age students. The addendum clarifies application requirements, evaluation criteria, and other procedural matters related to the competitive selection process for identifying qualified institutions to participate in this prevention initiative.

The addendum addresses specific modifications or clarifications to the original RFA solicitation, including details regarding application submission procedures, allowable activities, and any adjustments to scoring or selection criteria. Applicant institutions must demonstrate established capacity and expertise in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention programming, with the ability to implement evidence-based interventions and evaluation methodologies. The document provides essential guidance to potential applicants regarding compliance requirements and expectations for funded prevention centers, ensuring that selected institutions meet the Maryland Department of Health's standards for substance abuse prevention services targeting the college population.
