About this file
This document is a Measurement and Payment section (Section 01 20 00) for the Sarasota County 2024 Phases I and II Landfill Gas Collection and Control System (LFGCCS) Expansion project. The document provides detailed measurement and payment guidelines for 26 specific bid items related to the landfill gas system expansion, including activities such as bore drilling, pipe installation, wellhead construction, system connections, soil excavation, geomembrane repair, sodding, and system abandonment. The scope involves installing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) header and lateral pipes, air supply lines, condensate discharge lines, isolation valves, pneumatic pumps, access risers, and related infrastructure components across Phases I and II of the landfill.
The payment terms are structured on a unit price basis, with measurements based on linear feet, square yards, cubic yards, or per completed unit as specified for each bid item. The contractor will be compensated for all materials, labor, equipment, and incidental work required to complete each item according to contract documents. The maximum bid for mobilization/demobilization is capped at 5 percent of the total bid, with partial payments pro-rated based on contract amount earned. The document emphasizes that estimated quantities are approximate and used for bid comparison, with actual payment based on field-verified quantities and completed work, subject to engineer and owner approval.
