About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 issued by Grimm + Parker Architects for the Virginia Community College System's Rappahannock Community College Interior Renovations project at the Glenns and Warsaw Campuses (Project Code: 260-B4260-030). The addendum provides clarifications regarding site visits, with contacts provided for both campuses, and confirms that work areas will be vacated during construction while buildings remain occupied. Work at the new opening 182B at Warsaw Campus must be completed after 8:00 pm to maintain corridor access. The contract award typically takes 4-6 weeks following bid opening, and RCC representatives will perform project inspector duties along with other inspections specified in the Building Permit.

The addendum includes clarifications about required Commonwealth of Virginia standard forms, building permits through the Division of Engineering and Buildings, and hazardous materials abatement requirements per Specification Section 02 80 00. The pre-bid meeting sign-in sheets show attendance by various construction, electrical, and specialty contractors including Summit Construction, GC Commercial, 24/7 Electric, and Henderson Inc. among others. Contractors have discretion in sequencing work between the two campuses, with both sites being made available to support the approved project schedule.
