About this file
This is an Addendum #1 to a Request for Proposals issued by Rusk County, Wisconsin, for radio simulcast enhancements to the County's two-way radio system. The RFP seeks proposals from vendors to supply equipment upgrades and replacements, including dispatch equipment, in-squad mobile radios, repeater equipment, coax, temperature-controlled equipment shelters, antennas at all sites, and either microwave or fiber backhaul network infrastructure with redundant paths between repeater sites. The proposal submission deadline is March 8, 2024, at noon, with inquiries directed to Captain George Murray at gm121@ruskcountywi.us.
The addendum addresses four key clarifications to the RFP specifications. Coverage reliability may be provided at the industry standard of 95% rather than 99%, and vendors should use 12.5dB as the VHF noise floor value for coverage analysis. Proposals must be submitted on USB storage devices rather than electronically. Additionally, the County requires console training for sixteen supervisors and dispatchers, which vendors should account for in their proposals and pricing.
