About this file

This is a Statement of Work for moorage services for NOAA Ship Rainier in Kodiak, Alaska. The vessel requires pier berthing at a single, stable location during three scheduled in-port periods: August 4-8, 2026; August 27-September 1, 2026; and September 14-18, 2026, with an overall timeframe spanning August 1 through September 30, 2026.

The facility must accommodate a vessel 231 feet in total length with a 20-foot draft at Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The berth must provide consistent moorage without requiring the vessel to shift to an alternative location during any single moored period. Required services include moorage for the 231-foot vessel, potable water at 2,000 gallons per day, garbage disposal with a 10 cubic yard trash dumpster, sewage disposal, and shore power billable to Marine Operations Center Pacific. The facility must also allow for use of security contract 1305M222FNMAN0014. The in-port periods support stores provisioning, bunkering, oily waste pump-off operations, and various loading operations to ensure the ship is mission-ready, with these ancillary services handled through separate contracts.
