About this file
This document contains questions from potential vendors regarding an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of Illinois, through the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), for a one-time purchase of reading materials, including fiction, non-fiction, reference books, and legal supplements, to be distributed across 28 correctional facilities statewide. The contract will have an initial term from the date of the last signature through June 30, 2024, with no option to exceed a total term of 10 years. Bids are due by the specified Bid Opening Date, and the pricing for this contract is firm with no expenses allowed.
The document indicates that the contract will be awarded to the qualified vendor(s) that can best meet the needs of the individual correctional facilities, as they have chosen their own reading materials to serve their unique patron base. The contract is not subject to a Small Business Set-Aside, but has Business Enterprise Program (BEP) and Veteran Small Business (VSB) goals if applicable. The resulting contract may be partially or totally funded by federal funds. Vendors must submit the required Illinois Procurement Gateway (IPG) Active Registered Vendor Disclosure form and Vendor Disclosure form, and may utilize an optional feature to export and upload line items with pricing through the BidBuy system.
