The bid requests the procurement and installation of UPS units, with one unit to be delivered and installed at the 1301 Knotts address, and a second unit to be delivered to the Byron nuclear facility and installed there by IEMA personnel. Open Market Bid 25-588IEMA-NCLRF-B-45018
Questions and Answers
Question:Please confirm that the unit for 1301 Knotts has “0 EBM”.
Answer:We do not require an external battery module (EBM) at the Knotts St. Location. We only require the 2 EBMs for the Byron unit. Since the Knotts St unit is a test bed/ready spare and not actually sampling a reactor stack, it is not critical to have the extended runtime.
Question:Line 1 has delivery and install at the same address. Please confirm that this is correct.
Answer:Yes. All units will be delivered to 1301 Knotts address, from there the Byron unit will be delivered to the Byron nuclear facility and installed there by IEMA personnel. In the case of the Knotts St. unit, it will be delivered to Knotts St. and then installed at Knotts St. by IEMA personnel. We will require startup services at the Bryon Nuclear Generating Station and at the 1301 Knotts St. address.
Question:The description doesn’t call out any maintenance bypass. Most often a 9355 is paired with a bypass, does IEMA require or not?
Answer:We do not. We already have Maintenance Bypass Panels installed at all locations and will be utilizing our existing panels.
Question:Does IEMA want the same startup & service as previously provided for both locations/startups in this request?
a.UP05CXXX0015 startup service for 3phase systems
b.W1FL87NXXX0015 is the maintenance/service portion.
