About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a state and local contract opportunity posted by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) for the removal of an old backup generator and the replacement with a new backup generator at the Byron Generating Station. The project has a target completion date of June 30, 2023, but the contract may be extended due to manufacturing delays on the new generator. The document provides clarification that NGET (Nuclear General Employee Training) is not required, as the vendor will be working as escorted contractors, and that the existing underground storage tank (UST) is not in the scope of this project. The vendor will be responsible for cutting and capping the existing day tank feed pipe and return line that go to the UST.

The state and local contract opportunity is for Ogle County, Illinois, and the total project value is not specified. The contract may be extended beyond the initial completion date of June 30, 2023, due to potential manufacturing delays on the new generator.
