About this file

The provided document is a Questions and Answers document related to a state and local contract opportunity issued by the Oregon Department of State Police to transition from the Hyperion reporting system to the OBIEE reporting system. The contract requires converting approximately 60 Hyperion reports to OBIEE, with 15 reports classified as hard, 20 as moderate, and 25 as easy. The work must be completed by June 30, 2022, and includes 275 hours of training for the agency's 30 staff members, who have limited OBIEE experience. The work can be performed either on-site or remotely, and the agency is open to the contractor completing the conversion work or training the agency's staff to do so.

The contract opportunity covers the state of Oregon, with the specific jurisdictions involved being Marion County and the city of Salem. Pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, and funding sources are not explicitly outlined in the provided information.

1. Are securing folders in the OBIEE Catalog in scope (Read-only, edit, full control, etc.)?

a. YES

2. Can the Agency confirm the data mart already exists and therefore no updates to the Data Mart are in scope?

a. YES

3. Can the Agency confirm OBIEE Semantic subject areas for the above data marts also exist, and therefore no updates to the Semantic models are in scope?

a. YES

4. As we do not have visibility to complexity of Queries, has the Agency performed any kind of assessment? As in low, medium, high complexity breakdown? If so, can we get that list?

a. 15- HARD, 20-MODERATE, 25-EASY

5. Assuming 04/15 start, to develop, test, and migrate all 60 reports seem aggressive to complete by 06/30/22, not considering 275 hours of training. Is the Agency open to considering a full completion at a later date?

a. NO, WE ARE OBLIGATED TO REMOVE HYPERION FROM ALL SYSTEMS BY 6/30/22. 275 HOURS IS INTENDED FOR BOTH CONVERSION AND TRAINING.

6. Confirming Agency would like us Contractor to take responsibility to convert approximately 60 reports from Hyperion to OBIEE? Or is the expectation for us to train your staff in the conversion process, and we take on some reports?

a. DEPENDING ON TIMING, OPTION 2 IS A POSSIBILITY. THE HOPE IS TO HAVE MOST OF THE REPORTS CONVERTED AND THEN POTENTIALLY STAFF COULD COMPLETE THE REST.

7. What percent of the time Agency Users are available for testing promptly and to re-test as needed?

a. 75%
