About this file

This document is an Addendum to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the QQ49491 HVAC Replacements at NRT project. The project involves the replacement of HVAC systems at the NRT facility. The Scope of Work includes installing new and unused set lines, with the allowance to route the lines through the interior closet area near the panel box. Any damage to drywall or trim during installation shall be repaired by the contractor, while surface work such as painting or staining will be completed by the park. The project completion date is set for January 14, 2024, but the agency acknowledges concerns regarding supply chain issues and scheduling, and has requested that bidders provide their best estimate for installation in the comments section of their electronic bid. The agency also confirms that the use of a secondary panel box at the Boat and Bike Livery is acceptable, provided there is room in the box and a permit is not required.

The document also addresses questions related to the project's general job and completion requirements, providing clarification on the expected level of "finish work" required by the HVAC company. The agency emphasizes its flexibility in accommodating supply chain and scheduling challenges faced by bidders, while maintaining the overall project timeline.

QQ49491 HVAC Replacements at NRT Addendum #1

Question 1: Under Scope of Work A.3. “New and unused set lines shall be installed”, can we bring the new lines down inside the closet area near the panel box to reduce tearing out walls to pull the line through the exterior wall?

Answer: Yes, this will be fine. All exposed set lines shall be covered by the contractor.

Question 2: Under Scope of Work A 5. Carpentry. What is the expectancy of the HVAC company’s requirement for “finish work”.

Answer: Any damage to drywall or trim during installation shall be repaired by the contractor. Surface work such as painting or staining will be completed by the park.

Question 3: General Job and Completion Requirements. Is January 14, 2024, the date everything has to be done? Shipping times may be delayed, and this may be exacerbated by the holidays which are upon us.

Answer: We requested this date but understand that supply chain issues and scheduling may be of concern. We ask that companies enter a note in the comments section of their electronic bid as to their best estimate for installation.

Question 4: At the Boat and Bike Livery, can we use the secondary panel box to the HVAC outside unit?

Answer: If there is room in the box and a permit is not required, this would be acceptable.
