About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Project QR-00038, a roadside signage project for Horry County Government in South Carolina. The document addresses a specific inquiry regarding licensing requirements for bidders, clarifying that out-of-state contractors can submit bids, provided they verify their Horry County Business License and Certificate of Insurance (COI) at the time of award. The project involves upgrading roadside signage at the James R. Frazier Community Center in Bucksport, SC, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for November 7th, 2024, at 10am.

The scope of work includes comprehensive signage services such as removing existing lettering and mounting hardware, filling holes with color-matched grout, installing new prefinished metal white letters, mounting county seals, and installing a Daktronics Galaxy Series Message Display with specific technical requirements including wireless access controls, night-time dimming capabilities, and electrical connections. The contractor will be responsible for providing materials, labor, equipment, and ensuring proper installation, with a requirement for daily job site clean-up and a minimum one-year warranty on materials and workmanship. The project emphasizes the need for a licensed contractor who can meet detailed specifications for signage and electrical work.
