About this file
This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) file for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the University of Wyoming for a Wyoming-Based Craft Beer Partner. The RFP seeks to select a craft beer brewery to produce co-branded craft products representing the State of Wyoming and the University of Wyoming, featuring the Bucking Horse and Rider logo and university branding. The contract term is anticipated to be three years, with the potential for two different craft beer products - one state-branded and one university-branded - to be strategically launched at different times of the year. The Q&A document covers 39 questions from potential bidders, addressing topics such as product design, marketing collaboration, distribution plans, venue access, and presentation logistics.
Key details from the Q&A include the University's desire for a craft beer that appeals to both craft and domestic beer drinkers, with potential distribution in Wyoming and bordering states. The beer should be regionally recognizable in the Mountain West region and potentially entered into national, regional, and local beer festivals. The university is seeking guidance from craft brewers on volume projections, with historical sales data provided in the RFP. Craft beer will be sold at university athletic events, with current craft beer prices at $10 for 16 ounces compared to $8 for domestic beer. The selected brewer will collaborate on product design, packaging, and marketing strategy, with potential opportunities for branding at events like Cheyenne Frontier Days and other Wyoming festivals.

We're curious what kind of volume you expect the first year from Fall of 2023 Kick-off to Fall of 2024?
Also, this could vary depending on if we're able to pour in the stadium outside of AB.
