About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Commercial Fryer solicitation (Bid #B-46874) issued by the Illinois Secretary of State. The procurement seeks a 208V electric floor fryer system with specific requirements, including two fryer units with 100-120 lb oil capacity, 3-phase electrical configuration, and delivery to a location with a loading dock. The solicitation does not mandate a specific brand and is flexible on exact model specifications, focusing instead on meeting the outlined technical parameters.

The Q&A document reveals several key clarifications from potential bidders, including confirmation of electrical specifications (208V - 3 Phase), oil capacity requirements, and delivery expectations. No specific pricing details, set-asides, or funding sources are disclosed in this document. The procurement appears to be a straightforward equipment purchase, with the state seeking to replace or upgrade existing commercial kitchen equipment through a competitive bidding process that allows vendor flexibility in meeting the core technical specifications.
