Q1 We noticed the volumes have significantly decreased since the last bid. Does the State anticipate volumes increasing as the COVID landscape shifts or are these numbers an accurate reflection of the anticipate need?
A1 The sum of the estimated quantities for the line items is the total estimated quantity for the solicitation.
These numbers are estimates based of off historical data and are not a guarantee of actual usage, which may be higher or lower.
Q2 What is the duration for this contract (i.e. 12 months, 18 months, etc.)?
A2 Per Section 3.1 of the Contract, the term is for four (4) years.
Q3 Would the State consider removing the requirement regarding Sustiva (section 1.2.9)? This is not an industry standard requirement; we do not know of any products that have this claim in their product inserts.
A3 Sections A.22.1.11. of the IFB and 1.2.8. of the Contract state the requested documentation required for the bid to be awarded. The State will not consider removing this requirement.
Q4 Can the State clarify whether vendors have the option to bid on line item 1 OR line item 2, or is it expected to bid on both? Is the State seeking both devices or either device, being that the only difference in line item is the cutoff level for OPI?
A4 The State is seeking bids for both devices. Vendors may bid on either line item or both.
Q5 Are the anticipated volumes listed in the bid for both line items 1 and 2?
A5 The anticipated volume for Line Item 1 and Line Item 2 are to be considered separate from one another.
The sum of the estimated quantities for the line items is the total estimated quantity for the solicitation.
These numbers are estimates based of off historical data and are not a guarantee of actual usage, which may be higher or lower.
Q6 Would the State allow for 12 months shelf life instead of 18 months shelf life?
A6 Section 1.2.12. of the contract refers to this requirement. Any requested change to the contract must be submitted on the exceptions page and attached to the vendor’s quote before the Bid Open date.
Q7 Would the State allow bidders to submit bids for more than one drug test cup?
A7 The State is requesting one cup per bid. If the vendor would like to submit another model or type of cup, then the vendor may do so by submitting an additional bid. All required documents are required to be attached to each bid submitted.
