About this file

This is a Question and Answer document for TCSG-430, an Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Technology Building project at Augusta Technical College in Augusta, Georgia, involving the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and Columbia County. The project involves the design and construction of a new building on a new campus location in Columbia County that has not yet been acquired from Columbia County. The scope requires full programming development, as no preliminary programming document currently exists beyond preliminary program spaces included in the original Project Request Form submitted with the funding request. Augusta Tech has engaged with Columbia County concerning the project, though the extent of potential stakeholder engagement with Columbia County Schools has not been determined. A site map has been provided, and no demolition is anticipated.

The procurement process will select finalists who will be interviewed, with fee proposals requested only from the highest-ranked firm following the interview process, rather than requiring sealed fee proposals at the time of interview. A construction manager is anticipated to be procured early to engage with the design team. The new building location is not included in Augusta Technical College's current master plan, and Augusta Tech's most recent master plan has been made available to respondents. The project will support the skilled workforce pipeline beginning with K-12 students and continuing through technical college training.
