About this file
This is the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Mandatory Training List for Fiscal Year 2025, Version 2.5 (dated June 10, 2025), a comprehensive training requirements document for all DHA personnel.
The document establishes mandatory training requirements across multiple categories of DHA personnel, including civilians, contract support personnel, and service members assigned to DHA facilities (Air Force, Navy, and Army). Training is delivered primarily through the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) learning management system. Common Federal Training (CFT) requirements include cybersecurity awareness (1 hour, annually), HIPAA and Privacy Act training (1.5 hours, annually), employee safety (1 hour, annually), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training (45 minutes initial, 30 minutes refresher annually), and various other compliance courses ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Role-specific requirements apply to supervisors, managers, senior leaders, and healthcare providers, with specialized training for behavioral health providers, opioid prescribers, and personnel conducting mental health evaluations. Healthcare providers face additional triennial requirements including suicide risk care pathway training (1-1.5 hours) and opioid provider safety training (2 hours). The document provides audience definitions clarifying which personnel categories must complete specific training, estimated annual training hours by audience (ranging from 10-13 hours for general personnel to 2-3 hours for specialized healthcare providers), and extensive guidance through 27 frequently asked questions addressing enrollment procedures, alternative training acceptability, organizational alignment requirements, and contact information for training coordinators and the DHA Global Service Center for technical issues.
