Project 1 / Reference 1 - Organizational Development
Our company worked on an 18-month project to embed a coaching culture through the delivery and reinforcement of workshop-driven learning for both supervisors and frontline case managers. Grounded in our proprietary coaching framework, this work aimed to generate the following benefits:
• Supervisors and Managers can help direct reports understand expectations and build skills by providing meaningful feedback and support.
• Case Managers can help clients make economic and personal gains by building the essential skills needed to succeed in education, the workplace, and everyday life.
In order to tailor the curriculum to the organization’s unique needs, we completed an initial assessment which involved a series of site visits with prospective workshop participants. The purpose of these visits was to better understand Department culture and processes and thus tailor workshop learning-support materials and wrap-around reinforcement and change readiness maximization activities to the state’s specific needs. Each of seven coaching workshop cohorts (one for senior Managers, three from frontline supervisors, and three for frontline workers) totaling 14 Senior Leaders, 60 Frontline Supervisors, and 85 Case Managers participated in three one-day workshop sessions scheduled over three months, allowing participants to practice and improve in coaching skills between sessions. After completing the workshops, we helped reinforce change through a series of sustainability and change readiness maximization activities and supports, including:
• Coaching Circles – Convening and facilitating small groups of coaches for facilitator- and peer-supported coaching and reinforcement.
• Technical Assistance – Interim check-ins by phone and/or videoconference with participants to respond to successes and challenges they experienced along the way.
• Monthly Coaching Tips – Practical tips (typically a visual one-pager) aimed at sparking thought and action in their everyday work.
• Mindset Survey – Measured changes among those who participated in the training.
• Executive Coaching of Key Change Leaders – 1:1 and small group coaching of the agency’s internal organizational development team, the team’s leaders, and the Director who worked closely with the organizational development team to turn lessons learned from individual reviews into organizational continuous improvement and learning solutions.
Project 2 / Reference 2 - Organizational Development
Our company worked on a project to help a large county health and human services agency develop and begin implementing a five-year strategic plan. Following comprehensive internal and external assessment and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threat (SWOT) Analysis, we conducted a series of learning and planning workshops with the agency’s senior leadership team, introducing, and then applying key concepts and tools for distilling insights about the organization and its larger system of care and developing high-level and drilled-down tactical plans for driving focused continuous improvement. We then conducted follow-up coaching workshops, team development coaching, and 1:1 executive coaching to help the 15-person senior leadership team work through differences in expectations and perspectives, conduct collective analysis and design work on major improvement areas (e.g., streamlining and strengthening the “front door” – the ways county residents learn about services and supports and start connecting with the public agency and its private provider partners and vendors to start accessing those services and supports), and understand themselves and each other more effectively as leaders on continuous learning journeys. The work continued, with planning completed, the new strategic plan in the public domain, and working groups for implementation in the process of forming. We have received a new contract to support this work through helping to charter and launch Action Teams, including coaching Team leaders through 1:1 and in a team setting in learning-by-doing through team development and management best practices. Our Team Lead also continues to meet weekly with the Director through 1:1 sessions to provide executive coaching as well as with other key leaders on more of a periodic and as-needed basis.

Our company worked on a project that consisted of the business and technical analysis and assessment with the delivery of recommendations defined to address the immediate, short- and long-term organizational vulnerabilities and needs. Based upon the results of the assessment, the final product included a five-year IT strategic plan that helped our client achieve greater impact. The project included four team members from our company and 20 client team members. We led the development efforts of an achievable, measurable, five-year IT strategic plan as well as the planning effort where we provided an analysis of the plans for implementation and made recommendations for change and overall process improvement. We worked closely with the executive leadership team and other stakeholders within the agency. Our advisory, analysis, and planning services included the development of the IT strategic plan using our own local government strategic planning methodology. It included data gathering, an all-staff survey, conducting interviews and workshops, and developing vision, goals, objectives, performance measures, and an implementation plan. We conducted a security assessment and routine follow-ups to track improvements. These efforts yielded successful completion and presentation of a five-year IT Strategic Plan that includes milestones and activities for organizational change.

Project 1 / Reference 1 – Management and Business Analysis
Our company worked on a project which was completed in the past five (5) years that included management, development, and deployment of an enterprise data architecture leveraging a cloud-based Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solution that enforces consistent, secure data usage throughout the organization. Eliminating the multiple systems and data sources currently used across the agency. This was driven by the need for an effective, flexible, and efficient data infrastructure that supports current business functions and enabled future innovation and transformation. The data housed in the EDW represents information for more than 2.5 million residents. The EDW is available for use across the agency for analysis and reporting purposes. Our company provided daily leadership and technical consulting services in the development and implementation of a health care data related, Amazon Web Services (AWS) based-cloud EDW. Our specific responsibilities included collaboration and coordination with our client on development and implementation of the EDW, as well as coaching and development of in-house subject matter experts in data management and modern data architecture. The project involved multiple user groups. The systems development life cycle (SDLC) was an Agile Scrum methodology allowing for concurrent development of the major functions, with conjoined development to address dependencies between functions. Specific services included initial analysis and discovery and as-is documentation followed by the collection and management of requirements across multiple user teams. It included project management and project schedule development and support as well as process analysis, definition, and improvement that involved training and knowledge transfer to the client to increase in-house subject matter expertise in the analysis and testing tasks required to support implementation efforts and ongoing EDW expansion. The specific deliverables included:
• Initial Discovery Document
• EDW Test Plan
• EDW Test Scenario Map
• EDW Test Scripts/Test Cases
• EDW User Stories
• Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• User Acceptance Test Results Report
• Defect Status Report
• Performance Testing Results
• EDW Deployment Plan
• Backlog Assessment/Prioritization Guide
• Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL)
• Defect Repair
• Data Profiling
• Data Models
• Release Notes
• Code Reviews
• Defect Status Report
• Development/Maintenance Processes
• Tableau Migration Plan
• Tableau Installation/ Configuration Plan
After several previous attempts by the Agency and other vendors, the EDW was successfully accepted across the organization with sub-systems and individual databases being eliminated as more groups began to use the EDW as the single source of data across the agency as scheduled and within budget.
