About this file

This is a pre-bid meeting agenda issued by Colorado Parks & Wildlife Development Section for the Buena Vista SAA Shop Building project (Project # S19ALLSCP-5373 / C19SE7 DQ - 2019*177). The project involves furnishing and installing a new 24'x32' insulated and heated, 2x framed shop building with one man door and one overhead door, including rough-in for future restroom plumbing. The non-mandatory pre-bid conference was scheduled for September 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Questions must be submitted in writing to Aaron Boonstra, the Design Engineer, with a deadline of 5:00 PM MST on Monday, September 17, 2018. Bids are due Wednesday, September 26, 2018 by 1:00 PM MST at Colorado Parks & Wildlife Headquarters in Denver, with sealed and email bids accepted. A Notice of Award is intended to be issued by the end of the bid due date to the lowest responsible bidder, provided the bid falls within the project budget. The contractor will have 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (expected in October 2018) to complete the project, with construction permitted between sunrise and sunset, Monday through Friday.

Bonding, including bid bond, is required if the bid exceeds $150,000.00. The contractor must provide all temporary electric, water, and sanitary facilities necessary for construction. Colorado Parks & Wildlife will not require special permits other than an electrical permit from the Colorado Electrical Board. The contract processing is expected to take 2-4 weeks once all required documents, including insurance certificates and W-9 forms, are received from the awarded contractor. All addendums must be acknowledged on the bid proposal, and bidders are responsible for checking the State Vendor Self Serve website (www.colorado.gov/VSS) for updates. Weather delays may be granted at the Project Manager's discretion, and the project may be shut down due to unfavorable conditions.
