About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) update document issued by Portland Public Schools for the procurement of a walk-in freezer and cooler installation. The RFP's original close date was extended to Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM EST to allow for the inclusion of an addendum that was not initially posted to SIGMA. The primary scope involves the installation of a walk-in freezer/cooler unit with specifications for the supporting infrastructure and equipment placement.

The addendum clarifies critical technical specifications for the project. Rather than utilizing a manufactured insulated freezer floor panel as originally referenced in the architect's drawing, the concrete floor will be prepared with R-20 high-density insulated sheathing and a 6-mil polyethylene vapor barrier prior to freezer installation, with freezer wall panels to be installed directly onto the concrete slab. Additionally, the condenser unit is specified for rooftop installation. The extension was necessary to ensure all bidders had access to these revised specifications before submitting their proposals.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

WALK-IN FREEZER/COOLER

UPDATE: Thursday, March 22, 2018 9:00 AM EST

Please be advised that the close date of this RFP will be extended to Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM EST. BID DOCUMENTS MUST BE DELIVERED ON OR

BEFORE THIS TIME.

The primary reason for this extension is an addendum to the RFP which did not post to

SIGMA, stated below:

The architect’s drawing in the previous attachment references a “manufactured insulated freezer floor panel”. This will not be necessary, as a concrete floor requiring R-20 high density insulated sheathing and 6-mil polyethylene vapor barrier will be pouring prior to freezer installation. The freezer wall panels should be installed directly onto this concrete slab.

In addition, the condenser should be installed on the roof.
