About this file
This is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements document for federal contract FD20302600529-00, Version 1, establishing packaging standards for military procurement. The document specifies packaging requirements for four line items and is governed by MIL-STD-129 Revision R and MIL-STD-2073-1 Revision E standards.
All wooden packaging materials, including pallets, crates, dunnage, and containers, must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes to comply with United Nations restrictions on invasive species such as pinewood nematode. Certification and marking by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) is required, with reference to International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM No. 15). Items shall be packaged according to MIL-STD-2073-1 with shipping and storage markings per MIL-STD-129. Shipping containers require marking per MIL-STD-129 standards plus any additional requirements specified on the AFMC Form 158, including unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer names, or model numbers. Three of the four line items (2915OAH260012, 2915DTH260022, and two others under PACRN AAC and AAD) require no packaging data. Two items (2915013635097FW and 2915013801687FW under PACRN AAA, and 2915013749764FW under PACRN AAB) require MIL Long Line Packaging at preservation level MIL, packaging level B. One item includes special handling for residual fuel use per SPI F WF-117-2012. The document was generated February 11, 2026, and signed by packaging specialist Michael J. Lee of 406 SCMS/GULAA.
