About this file

This statement of work outlines packaging requirements and procedures for a federal contract to provide logistics support services. The contractor must use the Special Packaging Instructions Retrieval & Exchange System website to view item packaging requirements or search drawings. Reusable containers received must be safeguarded if suitable for return shipment, and unserviceable containers must be disposed of and replaced. Any improperly packed assets must be reported using the Web Supply Discrepancy Report system. Exceptions to packaging requirements require approval and a waiver deviation number. Larger fast packs may substitute for smaller ones under certain conditions. The ASSIST website must be used to access specifications and standards. Applicable government packaging documents include the Defense Logistics Management Systems manual and technical orders on packaging Air Force spares. The related solicitation is for F-15 SMDC logistics support services under the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center.
