About this file
This document is an Addendum to the Bidding Documents for the City of Griffin's Poplar Street Bridge Repair project, Bid #24-011. The Addendum modifies the original Bidding Documents dated April 2024 and includes a Supplemental Drawing, a revised Bid Tabulation, and responses to contractor questions. The project involves excavation, cleaning, and repair of fourteen bridge H-piles, including painting, encasement, and backfill with required shoring to protect the adjacent railroad track. It also includes removal of the asphalt overlay and seal to expose existing joints for placement of new header material and repair of steel angle, plate, or rail as directed by the Engineer, as well as placement of new backer rod and seal for each joint.
The revised Bid Tabulation includes a new line item for a 'STORMWATER BOX COMPLETE PER DRAWING SD-1'. The Addendum also provides clarifications on the use of epoxy-coated rebar for the encasement reinforcement, the paint required for the existing piles and sway bracing, and the contractor's responsibility to coordinate with Norfolk Southern to provide railroad flagmen as required.
