About this file
This document is an Addendum to the original Bidding Documents for the City of Griffin Poplar Street Bridge Repair project, Bid #24-011. The Addendum clarifies that the selected contractor must possess a valid General Contractor license issued by the State of Georgia, and that the City of Griffin will provide the required Railroad Protective Liability insurance. Additionally, the Addendum states the Contractor is not responsible for any permitting or associated fees in connection with the project, including road and sidewalk closures, but must coordinate with the City of Griffin prior to any closures.
The original contract opportunity is for the excavation, cleaning, and repair of fourteen (14) bridge H-piles, including painting, encasement, and backfill, as well as the removal of asphalt overlay and seal to expose existing joints for placement of new header material and repair of steel angle, plate, or rail as directed by the Engineer. The new backer rod and seal for each joint must also be placed.
