About this file
Summary: PB 26-12 Addendum No. 3
This is an addendum issued by the Board of County Commissioners, Palm Beach County, Florida, Department of Airports, dated October 7, 2026, modifying the proposal documents for Project PB 26-12, the DJT Airfield Vault Building Expansion. Addendum No. 3 adds a new specification section for interior and exterior signage and graphics (Section 10 40 00) and provides clarifications on three bidder questions regarding concrete sealer application, signage locations and quantities, and acceptable foam insulation products. The signage specification includes detailed requirements for interior signs at mechanical door 102A and exterior signs at doors 100A, 100B, 100C, and 101A. All signage must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ANSI A117.1-1992 standards and include tactile characters, Grade 2 Braille, and specified lettering styles. The addendum requires that all submitted proposals acknowledge receipt and attach this addendum as a binding part of the proposal documents.
The signage specification establishes detailed product requirements, including approved manufacturers (ASI-Modulex, Inc., Baron Sign Manufacturing, Desk & Door Name Plate, or approved equals), specific materials and finishes for interior and exterior applications, standardized sign sizes ranging from 3" x 8" to 8" x 8", and lettering specifications using Helvetica Bold sans serif font in designated heights. Installation must comply with ADA accessibility guidelines, with mounting performed level and plumb using counter-sunk screws, wall anchors, and vinyl foam tape. All signs carry a five-year warranty for workmanship and materials, with paint finishes warranted for five years from substantial completion. The addendum clarifies that concrete sealer shall be applied to both existing and new concrete slabs, and Core-Fill 500 is an acceptable product for CMU cell insulation in lieu of the specified Owens Corning Foamular NGX 250.
