About this file
This document appears to be a set of analytical results and sample location drawings related to a State of Michigan contract opportunity for upgrades to historic buildings at the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, Michigan. The drawings show the locations of asbestos and paint samples collected throughout the basement, first, second, and roof levels of a staff quarters building. The analytical results indicate the presence of asbestos, primarily amosite and chrysotile, in various building materials such as ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and roofing components. The bid opportunity, identified as 751/19141. TAP; Porcupine Mts WSP - Staff Qrtrs. & Lodge Upgr, is being managed by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget, with the bid due date and time specified as 2:00 PM on an unidentified date. The contract requires bidders to upload their proposals to the SIGMA VSS system, with instructions provided for handling any technical issues.
The analytical results and sample locations indicate that the successful contractor will need to address asbestos-containing materials as part of the building upgrades. The contract may also have set-aside requirements or funding sources that are not explicitly stated in the provided documents. No additional details are provided regarding pricing terms, incumbent contractors, or the overall project budget and funding.

I. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The purpose of this project was to conduct an asbestos survey and lead/cadmium containing paint sampling at the Lodge building located in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, MI 49953. The survey and sampling will identify asbestos containing material (ACM), presumed ACM (PACM), and lead and cadmium containing paint throughout the building. The survey and sampling data should be referred to by staff and personnel during demolition operations. Material or items not comprised of ACM or PACM may be removed, repaired or replaced by general maintenance staff or contractors. However, ACM or PACM items must be handled and disposed of by properly trained personnel.
