About this file
This document is an Attachment B detailing Additional Project Requirements for the Starsdale Circle Water Main Improvements project by Greenville Water. The project involves water main infrastructure improvements with a total project timeline of 90 calendar days for substantial work completion and an additional 30 calendar days for final completion. The contractor is required to begin construction within 2 weeks of contract issuance and must adhere to Greenville Water's Standard Technical Specification document. Specific technical requirements include 98% compaction under paved surfaces, 95% compaction along ditch sections, pressure and leakage testing, and compliance with specified permit and encroachment specifications.
Financial and administrative terms include a 10% retainage deduction from each pay request, liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for missed deadlines, and mandatory submission of two affidavits: Ethics in Public Contracting and Noncollusion Affidavit. The project has detailed adverse weather provisions, requiring contractors to track precipitation using an on-site gauge and compare monthly rainfall against a provided historical table. Unique stipulations include a prohibition on using US Pipe products and a requirement for the contractor to maintain daily weather records and discuss potential delay days during monthly construction progress meetings.
