About this file
This document contains an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) for a construction project to replace the emergency department roof at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. The project is identified as number 667-23-100.
The ICRA outlines the classification of the construction project as a Type C activity, which generates moderate to high levels of dust and requires demolition or removal of fixed building components. The affected patient risk group is determined to be highest risk, including areas such as the emergency room, intensive care unit, operating rooms, and isolation rooms. Based on these factors, the class of precautions from the ICRA matrix is identified as Class IV, the highest level.
The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 667-23-100 for design/build services for the project. The solicitation is identified as 36C25623R0006 and is being conducted by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 16.
