About this file

This file is a supplier and bidder support guide provided by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services for conducting procurement activities with the State of Ohio through the OhioBuys platform. The document outlines the registration process and system access requirements for businesses seeking to bid on or supply products and services to the state. To participate in state procurement opportunities, bidders and suppliers must obtain an OH|ID user account, register as a payee through OhioPays (ohiopays.ohio.gov), and then access the OhioBuys procurement platform (https://ohiobuys.ohio.gov) to search for solicitations and submit bids. Upon registration in OhioBuys, businesses should add commodity codes corresponding to their products and services, maintain current contact information, and review the specific requirements of each solicitation. The guide emphasizes that suppliers and bidders are strongly encouraged to complete available training resources, including web-based eLearning videos, hosted webinars, and job aids, to successfully navigate the system.

Support resources are available through multiple channels, including the OhioBuys team (supplier.ohiobuys@das.ohio.gov), the Ohio Shared Services Team, and the OBM Contact Center (877-644-6771). The OhioPays portal allows registered payees to manage their financial interactions with the state, including updating banking information, uploading tax documentation, viewing purchase orders and invoice status, and tracking payments. The file contains no information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, contract awards, incumbents, or funding sources. This is a procedural guidance document designed to facilitate supplier registration and system access rather than address a specific procurement solicitation.
