About this file

This document is a set of responses to RFI (Request for Information) questions for the Architect of the Capitol's (AOC) Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) procurement. The document reveals AOC's openness to a service management platform solution that can meet their IWMS requirements, with a strong preference for a consolidated, centralized system that can address both IWMS and IT Service Management (ITSM) needs. A critical requirement is that any proposed platform must be FedRAMP certified.

Key details include AOC's desire to minimize customization, preferring an out-of-the-box or configurable solution that can streamline processes, reduce learning curves, and consolidate multiple tools into a single platform. The agency is specifically seeking a solution that can handle workforce management through capabilities like asset management, work order management, configuration management database (CMDB), and a self-service portal. The responses indicate flexibility in approach, emphasizing a preference for a one-stop shop solution that can centralize service requests and route them to appropriate modules while maintaining FedRAMP compliance.

AOC IWMS RFI Questions:

1. AOC has provided a detailed set of requirements and 9 specific Use Cases. AOC’s RFI asks industry to provide responses that leverage a Purpose Built / Out-of-the-box IWMS system. Will AOC entertain solutions that can address the functional requirements and Use Cases using a Service Management Platform solution which can be configured to meet these requirements? a. Please see the Alignment of BMC Capabilities to AOC IWMS Use Cases in Bullet 8.

Yes, AOC will consider the use of a service management platform aligning with the RFI requirements.

Fed Ramp certification is a must for any platform

2. The outlined Workforce Management requirements can be met using capabilities from Asset Management, Workorder

Management, CMDB, and Self-Service Portal capabilities of a Service Management application. Given this, will AOC entertain solutions and service providers that can configure a Service Management platform to meet AOC’s IWMS needs?

Yes, it will be best if the approach is a one-stop shop, centralized Service Portal, and distributed to the modules that need.

FedRamp certification is a must

3. Will AOC entertain a single Service Management Platform solution that can address both the requirements of IWMS and

ITSM in one platform?

Yes, if available, a one-stop shop will be the best solution. FedRamp certification is a must

4. Is AOC limiting its options to only Out-of-the-box / purpose-built IWMS solutions?

It will be preferable not to customize a solution, but rather to use it as a design for it.

5. Does AOC see any future integrations between its IWMS workflows and existing or future IT Service Management workflows? Or, is it AOC’s plan to keep these as siloed systems?

If there is a one-stop solution for IWMS and ITSM would be best, centralizing service requests and routing them to their nature module.

6. Is there an interest in consolidating multiple tools into one solution/platform to save cost, labor, and reduce the learning curve of learning multiple solutions?

The consolidation into one solution is to streamline and standardize processes, and this will also influence reducing resources and labor, learning, and cost.

6. Does your AI Chatbot need to be FedRAMP-Moderate Certified?

Yes, all IWMS platforms are required to be FedRAMP certified
