About this file
The document is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Concessions at the Orlando International Airport, issued by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority for NTC Package 7 Concessions. The opportunity involves leasing approximately 14,332 square feet of food service space across multiple units in Airside 1 and Landside areas, with a 10-year lease term and a Minimum Annual Concession Fee of $1,950,000. The RFP seeks proposers to operate various food service concepts, including a casual dining restaurant with a full-service bar, a gourmet coffee shop, two quick-service restaurants (one with an open concept cuisine and another specializing in fast pizza), and a common food court seating area.
The solicitation emphasizes sustainability requirements, mandating that all food service locations use compostable packaging, offer diverse menu options, provide contactless ordering, and comply with the airport's commitment to environmental goals. The RFP has an ACDBE (Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) Participation Goal of 25.0 percent and requires proposers to offer high-quality, value-driven menu items that cater to traveling passengers. Proposers are encouraged to incorporate voluntary specifications such as organic and locally sourced products, humane animal treatment, and sustainable food practices. The document prohibits certain items like gum, popcorn, and non-brand merchandise, and strongly encourages the use of local, regional, and national recognized brands.
