About this file

This notice of intent to sole source announces a requirement for preventive maintenance and on-call repair services for Draeger anesthesia systems at three medical facilities in Japan. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity intends to award a firm fixed price contract non-competitively to Draeger, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer, due to the proprietary nature of the equipment and operating systems. Interested parties must submit capability statements by April 12th demonstrating their ability to service the specified Draeger anesthesia equipment at Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Misawa Air Base Medical Clinic, and Yokota Air Base Medical Clinic, or challenge the sole source determination. The requirement aims to ensure uninterrupted operational support for medical readiness at U.S. and local military commands in Japan.
