About this file

This is an email notification of a solicitation amendment for a NASA research opportunity.

ROSES-25 Amendment 45 announces a delayed due date for the F.10 PRISM (Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon) Step-2 proposal submission, now scheduled for February 27, 2026. The F.10 PRISM solicitation seeks development and flight of science-driven instrument suites and technology demonstration payloads for lunar landing missions. Eligible payloads address science goals across any NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) division including Planetary Science, Earth Science, Heliophysics, Astrophysics, and Biological and Physical Sciences; objectives of the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD); and technology demonstration goals of the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) that advance capabilities for science, exploration, or commercial lunar development. Payloads will be delivered via Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) landers to lunar surface locations identified and justified in proposals, including the South Pole region but excluding the North Pole region. The deadline extension was implemented to allow proposers time for proposal and budgetary modifications resulting from adjustments to the period of performance for south polar investigations. The complete amendment will be posted on or about February 5, 2026, at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2025 and on SARA's ROSES blog. Inquiries should be directed to Ryan Watkins and Amanda Nahm at HQ-PRISM@mail.nasa.gov.

F.10 Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon (PRISM) solicits development and flight of a science-driven suite of instruments and supporting technology demonstration payloads tailored to complete scientific investigations at a lunar landing destination, that address the science goals of 1) any SMD division, e.g., Planetary Science, Earth Science, Heliophysics, Astrophysics, and Biological and Physical Sciences, 2) objectives of the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD), and 3) any technology demonstration goals of the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) that advance capabilities for science, exploration, or commercial development of the Moon.

Payloads will be delivered on a Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) lander to a location the lunar surface that is identified and justified in the proposal, including the South Pole region but excluding the North Pole region.

ROSES-2025 Amendment 45 delays the F.10 PRISM Step-2 proposal due date to February 27, 2026, to allow time for proposers to make proposal and budgetary modifications due to the adjustment to the period of performance for south polar investigations.

On or about February 5, 2026, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2025" (NNH25ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2025 and will appear on SARA's ROSES blog at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/solicitations/roses-2025/

Questions concerning F.10 PRISM may be directed to Ryan Watkins and Amanda Nahm at HQ-PRISM@mail.nasa.gov.
