About this file
This is a Wage Decision document issued by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions for public works projects in the City of Santa Fe. The document establishes minimum wage rates applicable to the Paseo Real Wastewater Reclamation Facility Chemical Feed and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Replacements project. Wage rates are determined by the New Mexico State Labor & Industrial Commission pursuant to Chapter 13, Section 13-14-11, NMSA 1978, with exceptions for work orders valued at $59,999.99 or less. The project is subject to both the New Mexico State Labor & Industrial Commission Wage Rate Decision and the City of Santa Fe Minimum Wage Rate Ordinance No. 2003-8, as amended.
All workers within the City of Santa Fe limits must be paid a living wage of $14.03 per hour, effective March 1, 2023, in accordance with Section 28-1 SFCC 1987 and the City Living Wage Ordinance. This requirement applies to City contractors performing services, businesses receiving economic development assistance exceeding $25,000, businesses with City business licenses or registrations, and nonprofit organizations except those primarily funded by Medicaid waivers. Tips and commissions exceeding $100 per month may be counted toward wage satisfaction, provided all tips are retained by workers or pooled among workers. The living wage rate adjusts annually based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
