Request For Information (RFI) - Next Generation Environmental Control Unit (NGECU)
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued as a follow-up to a previously posted Sources Sought Synopsis. The U.S. Air Force is seeking detailed information from potential vendors regarding their proposed solutions for the Next Generation Environmental Control Unit (NGECU) to support the Government's refined technical requirements and finalize its acquisition strategy. Responses must be submitted by close of business September 18, 2026, to Contracting Officers Wesley Hardy and Douglas Lindsey, and Contract Specialist Allison Haney at their respective Air Force email addresses.
The RFI requests three categories of information: (1) Hardware Identification—including the unit name, part number, and National Stock Number if available; (2) Required Modifications—for units that do not currently meet all requirements but could with modifications, including details of the base unit and specific modifications needed; and (3) Contract Vehicle Availability—clarification on whether the unit is currently available on active Government contract vehicles such as GSA, SEWP, DLA, or CHESS with corresponding contract numbers, and if not currently available, whether the unit is scheduled to be added to any Government contract vehicles within the next four months with specified timeline and vehicle details.
