About this file

This document contains contract modifications for an elevated composite water storage tank project involving NAVFAC drawings and specifications updates.

The modifications address three primary NAVFAC drawings. Drawing 15212199 (CU501) depicts a typical trench detail with numbered annotations for pipe installation requirements. Drawing 15212200 (CU502) requires replacement of Note 9 in the Pipe Conflict Detail section, updating restraint length specifications based on pipe diameter: 4-inch pipes to 33 feet, 6-inch pipes to 50 feet, and 8- and 10-inch pipes to 67 feet. Drawing 15212204 (DI102) contains modifications to the Elevated Water Storage Tank Schematic at coordinates D5, including revision of the overflow elevation from 162.0 feet to 143.0 feet, revision of the low water level (LWL) elevation from 132.0 feet to 112.0 feet, and deletion of annotations NOTE 2 and NOTE 4.

The corresponding specification changes are contained in Section 33 16 15 (Elevated Composite Water Storage Tanks), specifically within paragraph 2.1.1 regarding Design Requirements and Tank Capacity and Dimensions. Subparagraph a is replaced to establish the Top Capacity Level (TCL) at 142.0 feet high water elevation with a 143.0-foot overflow elevation. Subparagraph b is replaced to establish the Bottom Capacity Level (BCL) at 112.0 feet elevation. These modifications represent a 20-foot reduction in both the overflow and low water level elevations from the original specifications.
