SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

AMENDMENT 0001

A) Subject solicitation is hereby amended to include the following information requested through RFI’s received from site visits.

a. [Will] The Government will be responsible for moving the guy‐wires that appear to interfere with the fence layout?

i. Answer: Mississippi power will relocate the guy wires for the power pole.

b. [Will] The Government [be] flexible with the fence layout as required by the sewer line layout?

i. Answer: The fence lines can certainly be shifted in order to keep from interfering with any current utility lines we may have. The ground scan that the contractor will perform will better determine the amount of shift required.

c. The East fence line will have to be moved in approximately 1‐2 feet to allow room for the barb wire arms to clear the existing timber poles; is that acceptable?

i. Answer: The east fence line can be moved to a point of clearance required by the new fencing.

d. [Will] The Government will be responsible for the washed out area at the South East corner of the fence line to bring the grade up to the fence line?

i. Answer: The contractor will not be responsible for grading or regrading any areas other than to remove or redistribute the soil that is taken from the post holes.

e. It is understood there will be a 6‐8 inch gap under the North end of the sliding gate when closed due to the sloped ground; is that acceptable?

i. Answer: The gap distance under the new gate will be addressed and corrected if needed by Public Works.

f. [Will] The Government will be responsible for trimming/removing any trees that are too close to the fence?

i. Answer: A work order has been submitted to trim and remove any trees that would hinder the installation of the new fence.

g. [Will] Single barb wire arms with 3 strands of barb wire be acceptable?

i. Answer: Single arms with three strand of barbed wire conforming to UFC 4‐

022‐03 are acceptable.

h. Will the area have to be secured with temporary fence during construction?

i. Answer: The Government will accept a plastic construction fence to outline the area such that non‐construction workers will remain outside of it.

i. How many days will the concrete have to cure before fence fabric can be installed?

i. Answer: The contractor will ensure that the concrete is cured the sufficient time to allow the post to set, ensuring that the post doesn’t move when the wire is stretched.

N6945019T7618

j. Will concrete testing be required?

i. Answer: the concrete will not require a test.

k. The UFC recommends top and bottom tension wire be installed rather than top rail to deter climbing, will this be acceptable?

i. Answer: The UFC actually says that the bottom tension wire in lieu of the rail makes the enclosure less secure due to the fence flexing. Public works enclosures are all equipped with the top and bottom rail and we would follow suit with this project. The outriggers with the barbed wire is the climb protection

l. Are we required to have a dumpster on site?

i. Answer: The disposal of waste and demolition materials will be the responsibility of the Contractor.

B) All other terms and conditions remain the same.

C) Date for the receipt of proposals is changed to July 17 2019, 4:30pm.

D) All other terms and conditions remain the same.
