About this file
This document is a photographic inventory of starboard and port side guard rails for the USNS ARCTIC, a U.S. Navy supply vessel. The images catalog multiple guard rail sections positioned at different stations along both sides of the ship, with identification numbers and vertical support specifications noted for each location.
The starboard side inventory includes guard rails at seven numbered stations: Station #1 (01-182-1 FWD with 2 verticals, and 01-220-1 AFT with 2 verticals); Station #3 (01-264-1 around with 3 verticals and 01-264-1 inboard with 2 verticals each); Station #5 (01-310-1 FWD inboard with 2 verticals and 01-336-1 AFT with 2 verticals); and Station #7 (01-374-1 FWD of STBD RHIB with 2 verticals, 01-400-1 around STBD RHIB with 3 verticals, and 01-424-1 inboard with 3 verticals). The port side inventory identifies Station #2 (01-169-2 most FWD with 2 verticals and 01-196-2 with 2 verticals); Station #4 (01-276-2 AFT with 2 verticals and 01-295-2 FWD with 2 verticals); Station #6 (01-362-2 AFT inboard with 2 verticals and 01-362-4 AFT outboard with 2 verticals); Station #8 (01-393-2 at FAS with 3 verticals, 01-400-2 around RHIB AFT with 3 verticals, and 01-460-2 outboard around Station #10 with 3 vertical supports). One image indicates a missing guard rail at the inboard location of STBD RHIB 01-400-1. All guard rails are painted yellow with mounting hardware visible in the photographs.
