About this file

This is a solicitation amendment for a federal contract opportunity to procure TR-302D and TR-355 transducers for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport. The contract requires the manufacturer to document, manufacture, test, package, and deliver first article and production transducers using a build-to-performance specification approach that meets specific performance requirements. The transducers are intended for surface ship and submarine systems, supporting various Navy programs including the Columbia Class, Submarine Acoustic Systems, and Virginia Class Program Office.

The amendment (N6660425R04680002) includes updates to the applicable documents table, revisions to first article approval clauses, and detailed technical requirements. The contractor must complete a series of technical phases including a contract kick-off meeting, first article testing, configuration reviews, and production acceptance testing. The government's minimum guarantee is either two TR-302D first article units, two TR-355 first article units, or $555,000 for first article or production units. The contract will be funded through various sources including Operation & Maintenance Navy, Shipbuilding and Conversion Navy, and Foreign Military Sales funds. The transducers will support systems like the BQQ-10 and UQN-4/10.
