Text version

-Sheet S-501 provides the stair elevation and railing detail. Please confirm the vertical (up the staircase) and horizontal (on the landing) length of the railing. Also, is there a drawing that shows the completed staircase and railing?

ANSWER: The handrail detailed on sheet S-501 provides the details on how to construct the handrail.

The length of the railing is defined by Code, namely the UFC and must meet ADA compliance. There is no drawing for the completed staircase and railing.

-Is there a preferred manufacturer NUWC uses for its blinds ANSWER: There is no preferred manufacturer for blinds. The Government does not intend to limit competition amongst product manufacturers. Blinds must comply with the criteria specified within the contract documents.
