1. Reference drawing AD101 Please verify that below the 2nd Floor Work Area A4/AD101, is the Basement A4/AD102. Also, can we assume the dimension from the 2nd Floor to Basement is 14’?

Yes, below the 2nd Floor Work Area A4/AD101, is the Basement A4/AD102. The Basement floor level to 2nd Floor level is approximately 13 feet. The 2nd Floor level to roof level is approximately 15 feet.

2. Reference drawing P-101 Note that Waste pipe drop is exposed in the Basement Corridor C3. Could we penetrate the Restroom B08 and run the Waste pipe drop in corner of stall 1? This would hide the drop and minimize the cut and patch of floor to Restroom and nothing in Corridor. Please advise if you agree?

The through floor core penetration for the new 4” waste pipe needs to be within the limits of the 2nd Floor Wet Wall located between Restrooms 206 and 207, which will likely be within the basement level Corridor C3 as shown. For the purposes of bidding, please use the pipe routing as shown on sheet P-101.

3. Reference Solicitation, Offer and Award; Section B; Item No. 002 What dollar value are we to include? Please explain what is meant by “NOT SEPERATELY PRICED”. Not Separately Priced (NSP) means that the unit price for the NSP CLIN 0002 is included in the unit price of CLIN 0001.

4. Reference drawings MD101, M-101 and S-502 MD101 Demolition Work Keynote 1 – Are we to include the removal of EF-8 and EF-9? Are we to include roof patch if EF’s are removed? Does roof have warranty, and if yes you do we need to contact for roof patch? Please advise. Removal of EF-8 and EF-9 are included within the scope of this Contract work. Yes, roof patching is required at remaining roof openings. Yes, the roof has a warranty and all roof work must be coordinated and accepted by existing Roofing Warrantee Company. Reference Architectural Roof Notes on Sheet S-502 for additional information.

5. M-101 New Work Keynotes 1+2, and drawing S-502 – Does roof have warranty, and if yes you do we need to contact for roof patch? Please advise. Yes, the roof has a warranty and all roof work must be coordinated and accepted by existing Roofing Warrantee Company. Reference Architectural Roof Notes on Sheet S-502 for additional information.

7. Reference drawings H-101 and AD101 Removal Keynote 4/H-101 (1’x1’ asbestos) is noted in Rooms 208 and 209. Removal Keynote 1/AD101 (2’x4’) is noted in Rooms 208 and 209. Are we to assume that the 1’x1’ tile is above the 2’x4’ tile. Please advise. Yes the 1’x1’ Asbestos ceiling tiles are located above the 2’x4’ ceiling tiles.

Removal Keynote 1/H-101 (9”x9” asbestos) is noted in Rooms 205, 208 and 209. Removal Keynote 2/AD101 (2’x2) is noted in Rooms 205, 208 and 209. Are we to assume that the 9”x9” tile is beneath the 2’x2’ tile. Please advise. Yes, the 9”x9” Asbestos floor tiles are located beneath the 2’x2’ carpet tiles.

8. Reference drawing AD101 Existing Keynote 5 reference drawing PD101. We seem to be missing drawing. Please advise.

The drawing “PD101” is a typographical error and does not exist. Instead the note should reference drawing “P-101.”

9. Reference drawing AD102 Existing Keynote 2 notes partition to be GWB. However Removal Keynote 2 notes partition to be CMU. Please advise. The existing Keynote 2 is correct and the Removal Keynote 2 is in error.

Removal Keynote 2 should read, “REMOVE PORTION OF WALL AS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO

EXISTING SEWER PIPE. PATCH WALL AND PAINT TO MATCH ADJACENT SURFACES.”

10. Are we to include any Temporary Facilities (electrical, HVAC, water, etc.) in our bid? Please advise.

No temporary facilities are anticipated within this Contract. Any additional facilities required by the Contractor, other than what is available within the building, shall be provided by the Contractor. The building will remain in operation during the entire construction period. Reference General notes on sheet G-101, and the project specification for additional information.

11. Reference drawing S-502 Partial Roof Plan Noting “asbestos containing material” in the existing 5 ply built up roof system beneath the existing EPDM roof membrane. I do not see this listed or noted in the HazMat information given. Please advise if it’s missing. The note on drawing S-502 indicating ACM in the built up roofing is correct. The ACM in the roofing was not identified within the HazMat information provided; however, it is assumed to contain ACM. Please reference sheet H-101 for additional information.
