guidance: 1. In accordance with paragraph 2.1 of the Global Decision Support System (GDSS) Security Classification Guide dated 01 February 2012 all contractors accessing the GDSS will have a Secret clearance. Paragraph 2.1 states: Access to GDSS. GDSS is an Unclassified and Classified system that exchanges Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) GDSS data with Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) GDSS. All users having access to GDSS, both NIPR and SIPR, will have a final SECRET clearance prior to accessing the system.

2. Those contractors will require a SECRET security clearance per SECNAV M-5510.36, SECNAV M-5510.30 and DoD 5220.22-M. Additional security guidance will be provided by the SPAWAR SSC Atlantic Security Manager.

3. Information on this contract is not releasable to personnel possessing reciprocal clearance without the written approval of COMSPAWARSYSCOM (SPAWAR 8335) via SPWAR SSC Atlantic Security Manager.

4. Only persons actually performing classified tasks on this contract shall be required to obtain and maintain security clearances per DoD 5220.22-M.

5. Documentation obtained for use with this contract shall not be used for any other purpose unless prior authorization has been obtained from SPAWAR SSC Atlantic.

6. Contractors will understand and practice sound OPSEC principles per OPNAVINST 3432.1 and SPAWARSYSCENINST 3432.1 and ensure that employees receive OPSEC training by the government upon initial assignment and annually thereafter.

7. Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), such as For Official Use Only (FOUO) will be handled and safeguarded per DoDM 5200.01, Volume 4.

8. (Block 11.f.) The contractor shall ensure that personnel have completed Anti-Terrorism/ Personal Protection briefings prior to traveling to overseas sites.
