About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation N6426725R1008, a Fiber Optic Measurement System procurement by the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command. The Q&A addresses two key questions: potential RFP extension and pricing terms. Regarding the extension, the government indicated no extension was planned as of October 16, 2025. For pricing, offerors must submit a comprehensive pricing proposal that provides best value over a five-year period, with flexibility to address market fluctuations. The solicitation requires a fully documented pricing structure with clear methodology and justification, with the government reserving the right to evaluate pricing reasonableness. This is an all-or-none requirement, meaning partial proposals will be considered non-responsive, and the government will award a single purchase order to the most advantageous offer.
