About this file

This document is an Amendment (Amendment 0001) to a Design-Build (D/B) solicitation for constructing an AT-6 Warehouse at Wing 41 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The amendment extends the proposal submission deadline to July 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Thailand time and incorporates multiple changes to the original solicitation, including modifications to project requirements such as removing the planned 18-meter by 6-meter air-conditioned office space, specifying a portable manual crane with a 2,000 lbs load capacity, and adjusting work hours from 0700-1700 to 0800-1600 daily. The project involves constructing a single-story warehouse with an optional enclosed wall, with a 600-calendar-day completion timeline for each contract line item (CLIN), and requires the contractor to handle various site-specific tasks like tree removal, electrical work, drainage connections, and relocating existing equipment.

The solicitation is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and includes detailed pre-proposal inquiries addressing technical specifics such as roof design, electrical connections, utility installations, and site logistics. The contractor will be responsible for complete design and construction, including conducting necessary site investigations, obtaining permits, and coordinating with local authorities. The pre-solicitation site visit is scheduled for July 2, 2025, at 09:30 a.m. local time, with strict access requirements for potential bidders. Contractors are expected to provide comprehensive design solutions that meet the specified technical requirements and performance standards for the warehouse construction project.

Part 3/Item 1 We need the specifications for your existing forklift and portable manual crane. This information is crucial for designing and estimating the concrete ramp's gradient (slope percentage).

Also, the distance from the existing apron to the front of the building on the west side is not sufficient for a forklift ramp. Could you please clarify the floor finish level there or suggest an alternative solution to allow forklift access to the building?

Per Part 3, Section 1, Project Description: "The forklift load capacity is 10,000 kg."

See Amendment 0001, Part 3, Section 1, Project Description, add:The portable manual crane load capacity is 2,000 lbs.

Part 3/Item 5.1.3/b/11-13 Klip-Lok metal roofing may not be suitable for a curb roof design. Would a gable roof be an permissible option? Furthermore, considering the approximate 4000 mm space above the CMU wall, is this adequate for warehouse ventilation, thereby negating the need for a rooftop ridge ventilator?
