About this file
This is a Minimum Specification document for an Ion Chromatograph (IC) system to be delivered to the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility & JRMC Yokosuka, Japan.
The required Ion Chromatograph system must meet specific physical and operational parameters, including maximum external dimensions of 550mm width × 1,000mm depth × 700mm height with a weight not exceeding 50 kg. The system shall operate in ambient temperatures of 15-35°C with 40-80% relative humidity and require AC power supply of 100-240 volts at 50/60 Hertz. The instrument must feature a gradient elution method using hydroxide or carbonate eluents, a dual plunger pump system with flow rates of 0.1-2.0 ml/minute and minimum pressure resistance of 35 MPa, vacuum degassing, an electric conductivity detector with measuring range of 0-5,000µS/cm, and either a gel-type or electronically regenerated suppressor. The column oven must maintain temperatures between 25-40°C with ±0.5°C accuracy. The automatic sampler shall accommodate 50 vials minimum of 1.5 ml volume with automatic dilution and variable loop injection capabilities. The system must analyze fluoride, chloride, and bromide ions with seven consecutive analyses at 0.1 mg/L achieving relative standard deviation less than 5%.
The contractor shall install the system on-site, conduct operational and performance tests witnessed by SRF-JRMC representatives, and provide on-site training in Japanese covering mechanism, operating procedures, maintenance, and troubleshooting. A complete workstation with specified hardware (Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB memory, 1TB HDD/SSD, Full HD monitor, Windows 11 Pro) and OEM-recommended software in English or Japanese shall be included. Two sets of technical manuals (English and Japanese versions) with comprehensive documentation must be provided. The warranty period is one year from installation with a minimum 7 business days response time for defective parts, which will be replaced free of charge. The system must utilize standard, factory-supported configurations without post-manufacture, third-party, or undocumented custom hardware modifications. Delivery is required to U.S. Naval Base Yokosuka Japan, Building A-61, Receiving Warehouse.
