Summary

This is a Minimum Specification document for an Ion Chromatograph (IC) system to be delivered to the U.S. Naval Base Yokosuka Japan. The instrument must meet precise technical requirements for analyzing fluoride, chloride, and bromide ions, with external dimensions not exceeding 550 mm width × 1,000 mm depth × 700 mm height and weighing no more than 50 kg. The system must operate in ambient temperatures of 15-35°C with 40-80% relative humidity and accept AC 100-240 volts, 50/60 Hertz power supply.

The IC system must include a dual plunger pump unit with flow rates of 0.1-2.0 ml/minute at minimum 35 MPa pressure resistance, a vacuum degassing system, and an electric conductivity detector with measuring range of 0-5,000 µS/cm and noise less than 0.5 nS/cm. The system requires either a gel-type or electronically regenerated suppressor, a column oven capable of maintaining 25-40°C with ±0.5°C accuracy and ±0.2°C stability, and an automatic sampler accommodating 50 vials of 1.5 ml volume minimum with automatic dilution and variable volume loop injection capabilities. The contractor must supply one analytical column and one guard column, a workstation with specified hardware (Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB memory, 1TB HDD, Windows 11 Pro, Full HD monitor), technical manuals in English and Japanese, and provide on-site installation with operational and performance testing witnessed by SRF-JRMC representatives, plus on-site and off-site training in Japanese. The instrument must achieve seven consecutive analyses of target anions at 0.1 mg/L with relative standard deviation less than 5%, and all requirements must be met using standard, factory-supported configurations without custom post-manufacture modifications. Delivery is required to U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility & JRMC Yokosuka, Building A-61, Receiving Warehouse, Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan 238-0041.
