# SOW/PWS

Reference

Question Answer

1. PWS 7.2 Section 7.2 of the PWS states that NAVOCEANO will accept or reject the deliverables at the end of the survey, but in the case of a rejection the contractor will be allowed five (5) business days to resubmit.

This implies that the contractor will be allowed to bring data off the ship to allow for correction of the data if necessary. Is this a correct assumption?

If resubmission is needed, the contractor can take the data off the ship for additional processing.

2.Scope

What are the required detailed specifications for survey and processing to develop technical procedures? This is needed to create commercial proposal correctly ‐‐‐‐ Example‐1 will 10% overlap between lines is sufficient – although if there are large variations in bottom reflectivity is expected, or reflectivity is unknown, it may be necessary to increase the overlap – also the overlap must also be increased if the vessel’s roll is excessive. EXAMPLE‐2 It appears there may be steep slopes on the seafloor – Contractor assumes lines will be run along slopes – not up or down slope – keeping coverage constant along survey lines. Would contractor assumptions be correct. Note: If circumstances require that surveys lines are run up & down slope, reduction of vessel speed may be required to allow the MBES to track the seafloor continuously – therefore reduction in speed would directly affect “Fixed Firm” pricing model. If this occurs when vessel enters area of operations‐ how will this be handled commercially”?

Requirement is coverage based.

Must have 100% post processed coverage. Speed and direction of survey lines should be designed that the best data are collected at the locations.

Overlap is not specified

2.Scope

What is the required linear km(s) that will be required to be performed?

Areas are approximately 100nm2 in size.

No required linear km. Requirement is area‐ based.
